Once we receive your registration, we will send an email confirmation the next business day.  You will receive another email from us two weeks before your class starts to schedule the entrance test and in person labs.  This basic English test is given in person in small groups at the school.  The orientation and class dates listed below will all be held online via Zoom.  The small, in-person labs are offered 1-2 times a week during the online zoom class dates and follow a similar day/schedule as online class dates.  For example, weekend students will be offered weekend skills/cpr dates.  The in person final exam takes place at the school after the online course ends.  Students must also complete the 40 hours of clinical, which will be provided by the school.   Once you receive the certificate of completion from us, you can apply for the State Test.

During the Covid19 pandemic we are able to provide clinical or you can obtain a temporary license (NAR) and be hired as a nursing assistant.   You must be 18 at least years old to work as an NAR.  Those work hours can count as your clinical if the facility RN or LPN can mark your competency on the skills check list. You will complete 16 hours of skills and CPR training in person once the online training is done.

In order to take the online class you must have a desktop, laptop or tablet with a camera and a stable internet connection.  Please note space is limited for online classes.

Steps to become a NAC (Nursing Assistant Certified):

  1. Register online, or in person, with a credit card and pass the English Competency test in person at the school (scheduled one week before classes start).  This test cannot be waived.
  2. Successfully complete all 9 classes online including a midterm exam and pass the classroom final exam.
  3. Attend 4 labs, which include successfully passing a Skills Challenge and pass CPR class at our school.  These classes will start during the same time frame as the online classes.  Students come in person about once a week during the online classes to complete the in-person labs.
  4. Complete 40 hours of clinical in a nursing facility with one of our instructors after you pass the classroom training.  This will be followed by a 4 hour clinical wrap up class at the school and then upon successful completion a certificate of completion will be issued.
  5.  You are able to register for the state test once you have met requirements #1-#4.  Students must pass the State Skills and Written competency test and then submit their Nursing Assistant Certified Application to the Dept of Health to become certified.
