Nursing Assistant Training Classes For Certification

Once we receive your registration, we will send an email confirmation the next business day. You will receive another email from us two weeks before your class starts to schedule the entrance test and in person labs. This required basic 6th grade English test is given in person in small groups at the school. This test CANNOT be waived. The orientation and class dates listed below will all be held online via Zoom. The small, in-person labs are offered 1-2 times a week during the online zoom class dates and follow a similar day/schedule as online class dates. For example, weekend students will be offered weekend skills/cpr dates. The in-person midterm and final exam takes place at the school after the online course ends. Students must also complete the 40 hours of clinical, which will be provided by the school. Once you receive the certificate of completion from us, you can apply for the State Test.

In order to take the online class you must have a desktop, laptop or tablet with a camera, microphone and a stable internet connection. Classes are live and not recorded. Please note space is limited for online classes.
Steps to become a NAC (Nursing Assistant Certified):
- Register online, or in person, and pass the English Competency test in person at the school (Entrance test date is specific to each class listed above). This test cannot be waived.
- Successfully complete all 9 classes online including a midterm exam and pass the classroom final exam.
- Attend 7 labs which include successfully passing a Skills Challenge and pass BLS Healthcare Provider CPR at our school. These classes will occur during the same time frame as the online classes. Students come in person about 1-2 times a week during the online classes to complete the in-person labs.
- Complete 40 hours of clinical in a nursing facility with one of our instructors after you pass the classroom training. This will be followed by a 4-hour clinical wrap up class at the school and then upon successful completion a certificate of completion will be issued. Evening clinical shifts are 2:00-10:30pm, Morning clinical shifts 6 or 6:30-2:30 or 3:00. Weekend classes will offer (Fri, Sat, Sun clinical schedules).
- You are able to register for the state skills competency test at our school once you have met requirements #1-#4. Students must pass the State Skills and Written competency test and then submit their Nursing Assistant Certified Application to the Dept of Health to become certified.
